Oh Twilight! I have missed you!

Today is the day after Labor Day. Do you know what that means?

It means that 2/3 of my kids are in school!!! And that means I will actually have time to write something worthwhile about our beloved Twilight.

As for today- I can come up with nothing clever to write about...

It's too quiet.

Let's talk for a minute about 3-D movies.

The first movie that I saw in the theatres in 3-D was Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare. Scared the living shit out of me!!! I mean, Freddy's burnt face jumping out of the screen? Crap- I am scared just thinking about it!!!

At Disneyworld the have a very fun little interactive show called Mickey's PhilharMagic. It is not only 3-D, but it has smell-a-vision!! Cute and Fun and not scary at all.

Last Monday, I paid $48 for my husband and I to take the two big kids to see The Last Airbender in 3-D. I liked the movie a lot. (Jackson as Sokka is great, but I wish he was a little sillier like Sokka in the cartoon. Jackson can totally do a bit of comic relief) I do have to say that I liked the 3-D. The waterbending and firebending really worked with 3-D. The glasses were annoying, though. Every time I leaned my head back the glasses were pushed forward.

The reason I bring this up is that there continues to be rumors floating around about Breaking Dawn being in 3-D. Really?

I just don't get it. It was mentioned in a Popeater article that the wolves would be awesome in

3-D. Have they read the books? The wolves don't get much action in Breaking Dawn. In fact, there really isn't as much action is Breaking Dawn at all.

A wedding in 3-D?

A honeymoon is 3-D?

Feathers? Bed rocking? Bella vomitting?

Edward ripping Bella's stomach open in 3-D to deliver Renesmee?

Bella hunting?

Okay, so maybe I can see the battle scene in 3-D. It's a stretch, and Bella throwing out her shield would possibly be cool. They show a force shield in X-Men without 3-D and it was visually effective.

Summit Entertainment, It is a waste of moola to do 3-D. We want you to spend money on the honeymoon scene. We want you to make the movies extra-long. We want you to pay Stephenie Meyer $100 million to write another book!!!!

I vote no 3-D. How about you?

I have refrained from writing about Eclipse up until today. I figured that I was giving all of my readers ample opportunity to see the movie. (As if my equally obsessed fans weren't there on opening night.)

I LOVED the movie!!

And now I have a confession to make-- I don't love New Moon. Sure I was on a high in November, but now that I have the DVD in my home to watch as often as I want I have decided that I don't love it. I might actually dislike it. Visually, the movie is beautiful and the acting is much better than Twilight. I have a ton of respect for Chris Weitz. (I liked The Golden Compass) I only know that I have watched Twilight at least 200 times and it never gets old, but I dread watching New Moon.

Now let's visit Eclipse. I pray that it doesn't become like New Moon for me. I liked so much about Eclipse. Today I will list 3 likes and 3 dislikes-

~LIKES~
1- The conversations between Edward and Bella; the meadow, in her bed, *wink wink* in his bed, and best of all in the meadow at the end. Bella's explanation of how she feels about Edward and being in his world gives me chills and is bit of amazing writing on Melissa Rosenberg's part.

2- Jasper and Rosalie's backstories. Oh, and their hair.

3- The action! I love mad Edward! I also love a mad Emmett. When Emmett and Paul had the confrontation in the creek. AWESOME!! Not to mention the newborn fight!

ok-4- (I know, I said 3, but I have one more) Charlie Swan is great and the sex talk is just perfect!!

~DISLIKES~
1- The scene where Bella leaves with Jacob while Edward is watching. HATE IT!! Bella would never hurt Edward that way!

2-Seriously, not enough Seth. I will have to write a post about the adorable BooBoo Stewart!

3-Victoria and Riley actually almost ripping Edward's head off. Please! In the books Victoria and Riley got their asses kicked!!

I do need to see it again. And I will. Soon. Very Soon!

I had mentioned on Facebook that I was underwhelmed by the soundtrack, but my opinion has changed. Not because I have seen the movie. If anything some of the song placement in the movie annoyed me. Neutron Star Collision during the party scene??? Hello- wouldn't that have been more appropriate for Edward and Bella? What do I know?

Anyhoo-- The soundtrack is growing on me. I really love this song and thought I would share.

When I heard that Stephenie Meyer was putting this book out for a month to be read for free I immediately decided that although free is good- I wanted the book. I actually didn't really care about the Red Cross part, (sorry:{) but for other reasons:

- My collection of beautiful shiny black and red hardback books would not be complete with out it.

-I wanted to read it on the plane to LA and then in the bathtub again later. (I drop things in water, so I tend to keep my blackberry and laptop away from the water.)

- And most importantly, I wanted to be one of, what we are now seeing, a million people who love Stephenie Meyer's vampire books enough to buy it when a free copy is available. It is my hope that she writes more books.

Twilight contributes to my fluffiness

As if my ass isn't big enough because of The Whopper, now Burger King has Eclipse stuff! Thank you Burger King. Do you think I have grounds for suing them for money to buy a treadmill?

They have these little game pieces where you choose a team and scratch off that team only to win a prize. As you know, I am Team Edward. I have had 6 game pieces and have scratched off Team Edward all 6 times and have won nothing. WTF?? I know their game now, but I refuse to scratch off the Team Jacob side. That is just bullshit!! They also have little cards with the characters on them. You have to collect 3 similar game pieces to win things like a stupid, shiny, Volvo and a Vespa scooter. I have 2 Leahs, a Bree, a Rosalie, an Alec, and some other one that is completely useless.

I do have a transgression to admit (smiling sheepishly). When my kids opened their kid's meals there was no Eclipse toys. "How could they forget your toys?" I exclaimed. "Here have a piece of candy instead."

I am evil, I know. I am, though, the proud owner of a Cullen crest wristband and a poor replica of Bella's bracelet with a 2 inch heart and wolf charm.

Dear Jackson Rathbone,

You are so pretty. Your voice is hypnotizing and if an army of newborn vampires wants to attack me I hope you will come and train me or better yet protect me. I wouldn't mind hiding out in a tent and snuggling for a while. Your hair in Eclipse is still a bit off. Your real hair or even your Twilight hair would have been better.

I love your style. I even like the aquamarine coat from the MTV Movie Awards. You were great at the convention and I truly thank you for not hiding your face like some other people I will not mention.

I am a huge 100 Monkeys fan. I went because of Jasper, but left because of You, Ben G, Ben J, Jerad, and Uncle Larry. I truly wish I was a Monkey. In fact I am a Monkey Junkie. And most inappropriately, when I was flying to L.A. the only song in my head was Wings on Fire. Grape is my favorite CD right now. (even my kids sing it)

I am thankful that I have a seven year old son. (for many other reasons as well) He is begging to see The Last Airbender. SCORE!!! Now I don't have to be the creepy lady in the theatre full of boys. I can't wait to see you on the big screen. It will be a date night. Me and The Big One and you. I will buy popcorn.

The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner. (Spoilers!)

Just like when I purchased Twilight I waited to read this book. It had been mutually decided upon by MrsMe and me to read the book together on the plane ride to L.A.

It was torture. I sat there stroking the book. I was a book molester. I was able to resist the urge to read it. I will admit that I read the ending. WTF- Bree dies. That is the end. I was seriously put out that I was feeling guilty about reading the ending and then I read the last page. DUH!!

I held myself back and had my book out before the plane began to taxi. MrsMe actually asked if I was really going to read the book NOW. Well, yes, sweetheart. I am dying here!

So, I read it. And I read it fast. And---I guess I enjoyed it. ??? It was so incomplete and I have decided that I really hate first person writing.

I did enjoy it for what it was, and I am glad that I purchased the book.

Here are a couple of points that I want to highlight-- Good and Bad:

I like Riley. He is almost as misinformed as the newborns. I will be interested to see how he is portrayed in the film.

The relationship between Bree and Diego was treated like an afterthought. Maybe fan fiction has ruined Stephenie Meyer's writing for me? :(

Freaky Fred is AWESOME!!

I never thought about the fact that Bree would be conveying information to Edward. That's cool!

I adore the fact that Edward tells her to not look. That little tidbit is in Eclipse, but I never caught it before. Have I ever mentioned how much I love Edward?

Does that Eclipse countdown clock say 11 days??

Where has the time gone? It seems like yesterday that I was counting down the days until New Moon and now Eclipse is upon us. I have been a loser at blogging about all the great Twilight Saga news. I seriously didn't even write about Stephenie Meyer's new novella. What is wrong with me?

I can tell you about the 1 million real life cock blocks I have encountered, but -blah blah blah- I don't even want to recount them. What I had been up to was preparing for my epic trip to L.A. for the Official Eclipse Convention! And I can definitely say that it was a once in a lifetime experience.

We had a jam packed schedule and saw panels with everyone of the major characters except for seven:Billy Burke (Charlie), Bronson Pelletier (Jared), Anna Kendrick (Jessica), Dakota Fanning (Jane), Cameron Bright (Alec), Charlie Bewley (Demetri), and Jodelle Ferland (Bree)and let's not forget Kellen... Kellen Lutz has twice evaded me :( I was desperately hoping for some Emmett!!!

Guess What- I went to L.A. and I saw Rob

About three things I was absolutely positive.

First, Robert is Not Edward.

Second, there was a part of him- and it wasn't the hair or the smile, that reminded me of the man who appeared in the pages of my book.

And third, I am still unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him and still a proud member of Team Robert --- I mean Team Edward!

I hoped he would sit on our side of the stage and he did!! He only looked over twice, but that's okay. Did I mention that I breathed his air? That is right. I breathed in and out the same air as Rob!!

Kristen is gorgeous so much more in person!

I would have been embarrassed, as well, if the crazies in the audience were yelling for me to take my shirt off every time it got quiet. Shut up you stupid immature idiots!!! He's not going to take his shirt off!

No luck in sending a smile my way, but when he did look over he laughed at the girl in front of me!

Kristen seemed to not be as nervous and eloquently answered her questions!

They talked amongst themselves quite a bit and that was cute in a way, but I wish we could have heard what they were saying.

I have so much more to say and so many posts to write. I will be working on catching up!!

Passion

One of the neatest things about the convention was the fact that no matter who you talked to, the lady sitting next to you, the family in the elevator, or the volunteers, you all had something in common and never lacked for a conversation starter. Twilight.

I know, as well as you, because I have said it a million times, reading Twilight changed my life. I think that it just gave me something to love. Not the same kind of love that I have for my kids or my husband, but an escape. My supernatural hiding place where no stress can touch me.

What I have often wondered is whether or not my obsession is healthy? It seems that I am not the only one. If you look at my facebook friends you will see that about half of them are in some way related to my love of Twilight. So obviously I am not alone, but am I a minority? What we all have in common is a passion for the same thing.

How many people in your life can you say really have a passion? I couldn't tell you what my Mom's passion is or my Dad's. I can't tell you my husband's or my best friend's. I can tell you my kid's, though. Huh? Maybe they have not been jaded by life, and have not learned how to put their obligations before passions?

The people that I met at The Twilight convention all had one thing in common-- a passion. Regardless of our obligations we were all able to come together and share conversation and smiles.

I think the secret of life is to find your passion. To find it and hold onto it until it becomes an obligation. To be happy!!

LA- Here we come!!

OH MY DEAR SWEET EDWARD!!! I am going to LA June 10-14 to see Rob, Kristen, and Taylor and many others at the Eclipse Convention!!!

I literally can barely form a sentence let alone type a post!!!!!

I have an extra kidney that I will sell, 2 cats, and I will even rent out my husband for odd jobs!! I need a convincing argument for my kids that college is really not necessary. Money is seriously going to be gone after this. Hamburger Helper and PB and J all summer!!!

Oh well... It will be so worth it!!!

I so hope that Rob Kristen and Taylor are this funny in LA!!

A short bit of my convention trip (finally- I know)

Wow- I had so much fun at the convention, but I haven't written a word about it! Life has been so crazy busy!!! (All together I spent $1000 to go to the convention...gulp gulp..., so a yard sale was necessary to make some back. I have been purging my house and the computer sucks me in too deep. So-- I have been staying away from it..

Here is my short little blurp about each celebrity we heard speak:

Peter Facinelli (Carlisle) - Super nice and seemingly humble. He talks about his kids a lot, which I think is adorable. He also answers the question with great detail and goes off on very interesting tangents that gave me insight into who he is.

Michael Welch (Mike Newton) - Also gives great answers to the asked questions. He hosted the karaoke party and sang quite a bit for us. His hair was long and pretty dark. He looked way different from his character. I heard it through the grapevine that he fell off the stage because someone moved the stage and the next day was obviously hurting. His autograph session took over 3 hours. He gave everyone a smile and talked a bit, which the other celebrities really didn't do.

Edi Gathegi (Laurent) - The biggest surprise! He was so freaking hilarious!! His "Geneva" impression was so funny. I think Edi is a great example of what a celebrity who is trying to advance his career should be. I had been thinking of skipping his talk because I was starving, but stayed anyways. I also probably wouldn't have gone to see a movie that he was in, as I have with Rob and Kristen, but now after hearing him talk and learning more about him, I would totally go to a movie to support him.

Kiowa Gordon (Embry Call)- Most Boring- Ok- first of all he reminded me of my high school boyfriend *shudders*. The whole raised eyebrow thing creeped me out. He acted like he was so bored and didn't want to be there. He slumped in his chair and answered questions with one word answers- Yes, no, maybe, oh I take it back, we did get an "I don't know" once, that's 3 words. When he came to the breakfast he wore his sunglasses which was kinda rude in my opinion. He did confirm something about the movie business, It's all about who you know. Stephenie Meyer goes to church with his mom and he had tagged along. She met him and mentioned that he should go to the open casting call. He got the job.

Justin Chon (Eric Yorkie) - Funny, but kinda spastic. He was nothing like I expected. He was very funny, but I was a little weirded out when he jumped out of his chair, knocking it over and ran off stage saying he had to pee. I had to pee too, but you didn't see me knocking my chair over and announcing it so loudly.

Tinsel Corey (Emily) - Wow- that girl can't sit still! She was practically twitching. It was really neat to hear her talk about the Wolf Pack and their relationship. She talked a bit about her music and the foundation she founded that would bring art and music programs to reservation schools. I enjoyed her talk.

I do have so much more to tell you and so much Eclipse news to talk about and I will. I plan on being back to full time writing next week. I have missed spewing my opinions and such!!!

Sixteen years ago this week, Kurt Cobain committed suicide. In 1991, I was 14 and in the 8th grade. My friends and I all were in love with Nirvana. We would sit around and listen to tapes singing along with the music, pretending that we were jamming.

I don't really remember any feelings I had about his death, but now I feel for his family who were trying so hard to help him. If you didn't know, he was in a detox program and jumped a six foot fence to escape. He did not contact his family or friends and they never saw him again. He was found by an electrician approximately 5 days after he killed himself.

So why am I talking about Kurt Cobain? I saw an article that Courtney Love wants Robert Pattinson to play Kurt Cobain in her planned biopic of the singer. OK- Rob as Kurt? I just don't see it. I know that Rob is a musician, but he just doesn't have even a similar style to Kurt Cobain.

UK's Sun magazine reported that Rob was committed to this project. People Magazine has a poll about whether or not you think that he would be a good choice. I hate to say it, but I think no. I just can't see it.

Access Hollywood is calling these claims as false. I am sure that we will see lots of Robert Pattinson and I am sure that he would be awesome in a musical role, but not Kurt Cobain.

I see him more as Jeff Buckley. What do you think?

If I had to choose an actor right now to play Kurt Cobain I would think that Jackson Rathbone would be awesome. (Fuck I used that word again. Oh well, it works.)

75% of the time I hate YouTube. When I first learned about 100 Monkeys, I went to YouTube to see what their music was like. I hated it. To make matters worse with my mouth filter evaporated by alcohol, I actually said this straight to Jerad and Jackson's face. OOPS! They both laughed at me. Both of them are freaking adorable-- especially when they smile. Which they did when I stuck my foot in my mouth. Adorable teeth smiles for the drunk girl.

I did redeem myself by telling them that I changed my mind and their music was awesome and that I had so much fun. They recognized me from the night before. *big smile* They thanked me for coming and asked if I was coming to Philly. God Damn Real Life. I wanna follow the band!!! I was then shooed away by Marty the Banana. I will get back to the banana later.

OK one more-- Thanks Lead Singer of Arden for calling me out about my tattoo. (I was trying not to bring attention to it) All the girls squealing made me want to crawl under the table and I am sure that Jerad and Jackson would have been a little freaked out if I did that. I probably would have been escorted out by Banana Junk Rubber.

I really want to tell you more about 100 Monkeys but I can't keep from using the adjectives Awesome, sexy, hot, awesome, awesome, awesome, FUCKAWESOME!!! I seem to have an issue with descriptions tonight. I may be able to blame that on my 3 friends, Red Headed Slut and the 2 Teas from Long Island. They kicked my butt.

Shadow of the Sun

A couple of months ago, I received an invitation on Facebook to become a fan of an author named Laura Kreitzer. I had never heard of her, but I did a little search of her web page and read some of the excerpts from her soon to be published book, Shadow of the Sun.

I also came to realize that she was a talented fan fiction author. I became a genuine fan of her writing through fan fiction and "friended" her on facebook as well.

I have to digress at this point in my story and mention something about facebook. I love the communication that I have with all my friends. That small little status update says a lot about a person and that adult communication is just fantastic. I am a loyal facebook friend, I hope, and I try to respond to all my friends, even if it's just a like.

So, I watched Laura's status updates outline her journey from writing, to editing, to publishing, to the release of her book. I was so happy for her, to have a dream come true to be published was just a wonderful thing to witness.

As soon as I could after the book was released I purchased it directly from Laura's website and was able to get an autographed copy. Squeeeeel!

Now like I said-- I am a loyal facebook friend. I was totally prepared to say that I liked the book even if I didn't like it. Boy- was I stupid to even think that would be necessary!!

I LOVE THE BOOK!!! I couldn't put it down. I fed my kids Lunchables- the pizza ones and I didn't even heat up the sauce, in fact my two year old was trying to gnaw the sauce open because I forgot to open his.

This book was so full of action and should have been confusing, but wasn't in anyway. The story is just fantastic. My brain can't even come up with a proper review because I am still so in love with it that I just gush and I can't make sense of it yet.

Thank you for your story. It has made me happy and I think that I will just go read it again. After I call all of my friends and tell them to buy your book. I am unfortunately not loaning mine out.

Wow! Have I been a loser lately or what?!?! I have so stuck in my own world that I haven't even posted in almost 2 weeks. Sorry- my faithful readers.

I have great excuses. Really- they are completely valid. Some of them are not pleasant, but I will tell you the truth anyhow.

#1- MY KIDS ARE DRIVING ME BATTY!!!! (sorry- I didn't mean to yell.)

#2- I caught a deliciously horrible stomach virus that I proceeded to pass to my brother and my father, who just happened to end up in the hospital.. Sorry guys. My nickname of Typhoid Rachel is never going to go away.

#3- I have been hard at work writing my very own Fan Fiction. I will post a little teaser sometime soon.

#4- I read a wonderful book that kept me on the edge of my seat for the entire day it took me to read. I will be writing a post about it. Please go out and buy the book. You will not be sorry.

#5- It's Spring Break and between entertaining the hyenas, potty training a two year old with a fire hose, and not being able to get my story out of my head, I can't guarantee much Twilight related material, even though there is so much going on out there!!! Ahhhhh! (New Book from Stephenie Meyer anyone??)

By this time of night I can't stand to watch another Dora or Zack and Cody, so I rely on my OnDemand from Comcast to give us something new to watch.

OnDemand is offering New Moon as a 2 day rental beginning at midnight on March 20 and in their promotional videos, a man, that is doing the voice over, speaks about how teens and parents, who remember the feelings of their first love with enjoy the story of Edward and Bella and their tragic break-up.

He then suggests that this is a perfect time for parents to speak with their children about the difference between healthy and unhealthy relationships.

WTF!! Has this fucker ever read the books and can someone explain to me why people think that Edward and Bella's relationship is a poster for an unhealthy relationship?

It's not like your teen is going to be dating a vampire!! Please!! They practice abstinence! That right there sways me.

I thought long and hard about whether or not to buy tickets to the Twilight Convention. I wanted to but it's a lot of money. I finally just bit the bullet and bought the tickets. I am so excited! MrsMe is going with and I already have a dress that I will fix up a bit for the ball.

Long black dress with red beads. I really want to wear my Sparkly converse, but MrsMe gave me a look and if she gives me a look I know it's not a good idea.

I need to check these chicks out. When it comes to my Twilight Obsession I tend to imagine myself 10 years younger. The whole Twilight Mom thing makes me feel old.

So April 23-25 I will be child-free and hopefully having a super fantastic time with my girl and in 10 years I can be proud to say that I went to a Twilight Convention!

I have fantastic news!

No, it's not about the 10 second Eclipse teaser trailer that will be released tomorrow. The great news is that we are getting a Wal-Mart super center!!! Now I don't live in a little town in the sticks, as much as I wish I did. I live in the suburbs of Washington D.C. There is a grocery store just about every mile. But- A super center is another story. I am thinking now about how much less time I will have to spend out of my jammies on errands day!!

Now, you may be thinking why the hell am I being so spastic about this on my Twilight blog. I will get to that Because my Wal-Mart is being converted into said super center, it is a total mess. Nothing is where it belongs, The diapers were in the same aisle as the shoes, I couldn't find the deodorant aisle, (which incidentally is right where it used to be. I was just having a moment. Go figure.) but lo and behold a shining beacon from the center of the store was--- THE WAL-MART TWILIGHT SHOP!!!!

I saw it out of the corner of my eye and totally abandoned my husband and kids. My daughter was following me jabbering away about something and also caught a glimpse. Being my daughter she used her outside voice and hollered "Look Mom-- Your boyfriend!!" The lady manning the temporary fitting rooms (which are right smack dab under a security eyeball) rolled her eyes and went back to picking at her nails. Must not have been the only excited fool to find the goods.

You know that I could not walk out of there empty handed, right? Nope, I am now the proud owner of a gigantic Edward bag. It will carry all of my crap, plus all my kids crap, the 4 books and my Edward and Bella Barbies (which I will put in a ziploc bag- because whenever the lights go out those two do dirty things. No goo in my new purse please.)

I am so pleased with my purchase.

Just so you know I did find the deodorant and all is good.

My busy month!!

I mentioned to my husband that I would be going out 2 weekends this month. I never go out without him. I think the last time was on November 19 and 20. He was NOT invited then and he is not invited now.

I tend to read only Twilight news blogs lately so this movie is getting great reviews. I am reading all over about how wonderful Rob is in this movie. My plans are to go to a midnight movie if possible. I am going with B2 and MrsMe. I love these chicks so much and we have a blast!!! If there are 2 people in the world that support my Rob addiction it is those two.

Let's not forget the little matter of the ECLIPSE trailer in front of the movie. Even if I did not want to see Remember Me I would be there for the trailer alone. I bought a ticket to Band Slam just to see the New Moon trailer. It was not $10.50 wasted.

The weekend after the Remember Me movie, I plan to be stalking the pimply teenager that works in the electronics section of our 24 hour Wal-Mart for the New Moon DVD. Yes, I have decided to start with the Wal-Mart version. 7 minutes of Eclipse footage sold me. Hopefully this will all happen smoothly after the photo op that I have planned. (You will see these soon)

Then after I have my hands on my New Moon DVD my posse (yes, my posse- I am the leader. Got that girls?) will be headed to B2's house. If I didn't like her we would still be going over there because she has a big ass TV and I have a tiny one. I call a corner of the couch!!!!

I have not guaranteed my husband that I won't be seeing Remember Me more than once. I may have to head out and see it a couple of times. As for New Moon, well--- I have seen Twilight over 100 times. He has been warned.

I can't wait!!!!

7 year old boys crack me up so hard. Overhearing their conversations are usually hilarious or horrifying.

As a birthday party favor, my kids all received a little tin Twilight box filled with candy, 2 Edwards and 1 Jacob.

Here is the conversation I overheard (The sound effects you should be hearing are the clanging of little tin boxes hitting each other-Do you see where I am going with this?)

The Big One (my son)- Jacob will kick Edward's booty!

The friend- Edward is better than Jacob

CLANG-CLANG-- Ouch, that was my hand!!

T B O- Jacob is young and strong. Edward is old and skinny. He's 100 years old!!

The friend- But Edward is a vampire!!

CLANG CLANG!! Mom- my friend keeps hitting me. (I totally ignored them)

T B O- Jacob will bite Edward and turn him into a werewolf. Then kill him! Bang! (the friend lost his tin)

Not being able to let this go I asked T B O why he thought that Jacob could kill Edward. His explanation was pretty funny --Now.

"Seriously Mom, You do know that werewolves are better than vampires, right?"

Ahhh-Ok, but there are rules you have to follow.

Yes- I have rules. They are really just common courtesies involved in me LOANING you my precious books.

No- I am not insane. Do you want the books or not?

Ok then, here is my book borrowing etiquette.

I warn you there are consequences to not following my rules. I am not above dragging your ass to Judge Judy for replacement value and emotional distress.

Here are my rules:

1) Please read my books in a timely manner. It took me 48 hours to read all 4. I will give you a month.

2) Please use a bookmark. Don't dog-ear my books.

3) Please do not spill milk on my book and then allow it to sit in the milk. Do not allow the milk to dry on the book. Do not set my book on top of your dusty TV and allow the dust to settle on the book, making the milk into a muddy mess.

4) Do not rip the pages of my book. If this or #3 happens just march your ass to the store and buy me the same copy. You are now the proud owner of your own jacked up copy of Twilight.

5) Do not use my book as a bug swatter.

6) Do not allow your 2 year old to use my book as a toy. They can't read and will most likely rip pages and probably spill milk on it.

7) Do not eat the following while reading my book- popcorn, cheese curls, buffalo wings, chips of any kind, cotton candy or any other sticky, greasy, messy crap. My book is not a napkin. In fact do not even eat or drink near it.

8) Do not drop my book in the bath tub, a puddle, the dog bowl or a sink full of water. It is not water resistant.

9) Even if you love Edward, do not slobber on the picture of him or Jacob on the front cover of my book. If you feel the need to be psycho, just go all out and stalk them. I do not want your germs on my book.

10) Give me my freaking books back! If you have not read it in 8 months you are probably not going to read it at all. I am not a happy camper when I have to go out and buy a new copy of a book that I already own. I understand that you are busy and don't have time to read it, but go buy your own damn copy to use as a paper weight or whatever other kind of torture you are subjecting my book to.

This post is inspired by MrsMe's poor copy of Twilight. If we didn't love it so much we would burn it and give it a proper burial. The worst part is that the girl who borrowed MrsMe's book read most of the book, but has no interest in finishing it. WTF!!!
I also dedicate this post to my 2 missing copies of Twilight. I miss you and someday when I get really bitchy we will be reunited. When that day happens I can only hope that the assholes that have kept you for so long have at least taken care of you.

Max is B2's little nephew. His mommy is (of course) a Twilight fan. (I really don't talk to people who aren't any more.) (Ok- except my dear hubs. I talk to him- oh- and my mom.)

I have been so bad about updating my other blog, Serious Fiction Addiction, so today I thought I would write a post that I could place on both pages.

This is a heart-wrenching story. I love The Black Arrow's tortured Edward. The parallel of Twilight, in him wanting something he can't have, is strong in this story. Bella starts as a kind of victim, but is gaining strength and learning what kind of power she has over Edward. My only complaint with this story is that the author takes a long time to update. Her writing is worth the wait though.

The author updates often and the really good stuff is coming now!! (68 chapters)

This story is a baby, only 4 chapters. Hunterhunting is the great author of Clipped Wings and Inked Armor.(hope you have read this. it is now on Twilighted) Her new story is nothing like CW&IA, it is funny and the characters are hilarious. Bella has a mouth that runs on over greased wheels and Edward is so taken with her. Edward is a hockey player with a large-um-um-(I'll just say it) XXL appendage. This right there is a source of laughter. It is funny, so funny and so hot!! HH updates every Wednesday. I love that little hump-day gem in my mail box.

Edward is a single dad to Lily. During a grocery trip, she is taken by James, who thinks she is his daughter. Bella is at the same store and is taken as well, because he believes she is his wife.

This is a well- written story about Bella Swan, a popular author, who is taken hostage along with a small child by a sadistic James, who thinks they are his wife and child. This story has some scenes of violence, but none that are too graphic or over the top. Isakasses updates weekly.

I admit I am a curious girl. I may even be nosy. I like too much information. That's just me. Ever since the first time I read Twilight I have been insanely curious about how Edward could handle it when Bella was on her period. I know, I know, gross question, but I haven't been able to get it out of my head. Did the smell of blood drive him crazy?

Well, I found the answer. I am not going to say where right now for the sake of my contest, but never say I don't produce.

Movie Trailers - Movies Blog

The chatter about Kristen Stewart lately has been mostly about her film The Yellow Hankerchief. This movie was filmed in 2008. I am not sure why it was not released earlier than this, but I assume the release has something to do with Kristen Stewart's draw right now. I could be wrong. I could also look it up a bit more and find out why, but I have had 7 kids today and am frankly exhausted, mentally and physically.

I wish I had a picture to go with this post, but I don't. In fact if I had taken a picture I probably would have gotten smacked.

I came downstairs to make breakfast for my hyenas and in the 10 minutes that had elapsed since they left my side upstairs, they had driven my husband to try and pull his hair out. They seem to be very good at this. I am sure they could teach your children the art of driving you crazy in less than 10 minutes if you would like.

After calming the storm, I sent the Hubs out for a cigarette in hopes of calming him, when he came in I had effectively silenced the din with pancakes, bacon and eggs. I looked at him- really saw him for the first time that morning and his hair was standing up in a very disheveled way. Not remembering the fact that he had already been driven close to the edge, I asked him if he was trying to turn me on with his "Edward" hair.

This question earned me a death stare. He brushed past my laughing face and kind of stomped out of the room.

I don't know. What I do know is this:

I was at a store the day before Valentine's day. It was the type of store where one would shop for family-friendly Valentine gifts like balloons, candy and heart-felt cheese. I had ordered a specialized gift and knew I'd need help in picking it up. When I walked into the store I saw two young teenage girls working the cash registers and a boy of similar age in the back of the store behind an order counter. And the place was packed with patrons all hopped up on helium-filled, heart-shaped latex.

I thought about perhaps asking the boy in the back for assistance, but from my point of view he looked sort of sullen and depressed. I couldn't exactly see his face, but I decided against approaching him when I noticed he was just sitting there squinting at me from behind the counter. Instead, I started to wait in line knowing it would probably prove fruitless because the girls were too busy punching numbers and running credit cards to go check on my waiting order in the recesses of the store.

But after standing in line for a trickle of minutes with a full bladder and two waiting boys in the car, I became impatient. So impatient I thought, Alright, I am going to go ask cheerless crab for help. Which is when an angelic-looking woman in a particularly delightful periwinkle sweater asked me if I needed anything.(Sometimes being pregnant all over works to your advantage, you see.)And I said, "Oh yes. My name is Courtney and I have an order . . ."But before I could finish her eyes enlarged and she blurted out, "Oh right! Yes! Follow me please!" and she headed towards the back of the store.Towards--you know--him. And just as she disappeared behind the order counter with me close behind, I came face-to-face with the creepy employee.

It was a cut-out of Edward Cullen.

I have an Edward cutout and I will say that he can be particularly frightening when he sneaks up on me, from his perch in my living room, where he has stood since September. (I should be used to his presence by now, don't ya think?)

I just had to laugh at how everything in my life can somehow be brought back to Twilight, even a blog from a lady who write about the mundane things in life and makes it sound so fun!!

I again apologize for missing last night's question. The night just slipped away!!

I had been thinking about what to write about tonight when I spoke to my sister-in-law. In fact my inspiration from this comes from all 3 of them.

MrsMe's close friend is pregnant and due any day. She is a Twilight lover as well. Her new daughter will be named Rosalie. I just love it!! When Baby AD was born his girl name was Arabella. This was before I read Twilight or knew anything about it. We were going to call her Bella. Think of all the crap I would be getting if he had been girl!!

So, B2 and QB are both dying to get pregnant. (I am so done with that part of my life.) They both have 2 little girls and are getting ready to send out orders for little boys. We tossed around names tonight and here is what we came up with:

Edward- B2's ex is Edward so that is out for her- QB turned up her nose
Jasper- my cat is Jasper
Emmett- we all like this
Carlisle- none of us are that cruel
Jacob- too popular
Charlie- blah
Sam-no plus B2's sister in law is Sam

I started to ask about girls, but decided not to even put that possibility out there into the universe. We need more little boys in our family.

It was so great to get the comments for the question I added today. I was actually a little saddened after I wrote my post. Last night, with friends that mean a lot to me, I was left feeling like my love of Twilight was pathetic. I am quite hurt.

The comments that I received made me smile so hard and I say to my so called friends--f**k off. ( by the way they have not even read the books.)

At dinner last night with 2 other couples, I was just a tiny bit ambushed and teased mercilessly about my love of all things related to Twilight and my love of Rob Pattinson. I was asked this question:

Why do you love Twilight?

I said the usual things; It makes me happy. It is fun. It enhanced my love life. Rob is so yummy.

But still like a bunch of 4 year olds, They continued to ask why. I wanted to bust out- Just because, leave me the f**k alone!!! but I grasped at straws trying to find the words to explain my love.

(BTW- The more I drink the less coherently I am able to justify my obsession. That sucked.)

A Foolish Friday Post

I have been so busy today dealing with real life. Yuck! We have been pretty much stuck in the house for the last 8 days and being with your family is kind of like fish. After a while it just stinks.
I did get a short reprieve this evening with my first book club meeting. I was very nice. I only knew one lady and I think that was better as we were able to focus more on the books and not on the normal gossiping that we would do.

So, I apologize for recycling a post. I have just had too much wine and will probably either babble or get in trouble.

Here is my husband's favorite post. It is so true and right now Baby AD is growing out of his shoes, but won't wear anything else. For those who are new to my blog, enjoy:

My son's life with a Twilight Obsession.

I have an adorable 2 year old son, Baby AD, who, I think, likes Twilight as much as I do. When I wear my t-shirts, he lovingly pats my chest and says "Edward. Bella.". He can spot pictures of Edward anywhere and he points them out excitedly like a normal 2 year old points out a balloon. He has actually sat next to me and watched the entire Twilight movie without being too annoying more than once. I am kind of afraid that I have brainwashed him.

Here is why I think this:

In a genius move that my husband is notorious for we left to go hiking in the Shenandoah National Park, as he grabbed Baby AD to put into the car I mentioned for him to put the baby's shoes on. Stopping for gas, 60 miles from home I notice my son's stocking feet. Knowing the answer before I asked it, my husband admits he forgot the shoes. Luckily a Kmart was found and shoes were purchased. These shoes:

Go Diego Go shoes.

I showed them to my sweet boy and he excitedly yelled-"EDWARD SHOES!!"

He loves his Edward shoes. I have tried to get him to call them Diego shoes to assuage the annoyance my husband feels, but AD insists that they are Edward shoes. I feel it serves RZ right for forgetting the perfectly good black and gray non-Edward shoes at home.

p.s.-Just so you know, AD can say Diego perfectly. He just really likes Edward.

All I can say is that I had better receive this for Valentine's Day, dear!! If I don't I may kill you!! I have given my husband plenty of subtle and not so subtle hints that I had better get one of these packages delivered to me. I will act surprised and shower him with kisses.

His epic failures of both my birthday and Christmas leave him really no choice, but to just do it. I may not speak to him for at least a day if doesn't comply. (A day is really all I can manage, but I am a genius at making sure he knows that I am pissed without words.)

A couple of months ago I was invited to join a group on Facebook called Virginia Twilight Moms. I was so excited!! Unfortunately it is so hard to interact with a group on Facebook. In fact today the whole damn thing is screwed up! Sometimes I hate Facebook.

Melisa S, one of the admins for the group has started a blog for Virginia Twilight Moms, which I think is actually a misnomer. It should be Virginia Twilight lovers, who are not teeny-bopper fangirls, but a group of sexy ladies that could teach Rob a thing or two. But that title is too long.

Ahhh! Did you see those beautiful pictures!! I am sorry for you Twi-purity girls out there!! I couldn't hold myself back from posting them!! I was too freakin' excited!!! I am still giddy!!

I was happy to see that in those pictures Bella's hair doesn't look so bad. I hate wigs!! In Twilight, Jasper (Jackson Rathbone) and Esme (Elizabeth Reaser) wore wigs. They did not bother me at all. Maybe because I had nothing to compare them to. But in New Moon, Esme's hair was ugly, Rosalie's hair was so fake looking, and Jasper's hair was scary!! The only wig that was improved was Jacob's and it annoyed me, too. I know that Laurent had a new wig made, but I really didn't notice.

Kristen Stewart cut her hair for The Runaways and she looks awesome in the role of Joan Jett, but I am sure that the producers of Eclipse about shit themselves when they saw her hair. In this picture her wig looks horrible and I am kind of scared. (ewwww- Jacob's Twilight wig was bad!!)

Now her hair in this Harper's Bazaar spread is gorgeous!! The extentions look so much better than a wig. I just don't know what to think. I would be hiring the hairdresser from HB.

I do know that on June 30th I will be so entranced by Edward that I am sure Bella's hair will be the last thing I am looking at. Does Edward have any shirtless scenes in this movie??

It is the last football Sunday of the year. I like football, but to my husband football is really soccer. I did finally get him interested in football with the Saints/Vikings playoff game. We are both still bitter at the outcome and are at my parent' houses enjoying the company, but not the game. We happen to also be celebrating my twin brothers' 30th birthday.

The reason I bring this up is that my brother was floored when I gave B2 a hard time for not readily knowing the answer to the trivia question. "Rachel, Are you telling me you can remember that exact quote from a minor character?"

Yes, I can. I have seen Twilight over 100 times. I can probably tell you the line being spoken at any particular time in the movie. I really think that my family, although they know I am obsessed, has no clue the extent of my love for Twilight.

I have acquired some new faces to my blog and it was suggested to me that I maybe introduce myself a bit. I am really no different from any of the other bloggers out there. I have a love of writing and Twilight gave me some major inspiration. It manifested itself into this blog. In my 8 months of blogging I have learned a couple of things:

1- I hate the name of my blog. Every time I type in the address I cringe. It is so freaking long. I was in la la land and flying on a Twilight high when I chose it and now it's too late to change.

2- My Husband does not like it when I call Rob yummy. He does not understand my obsession. He says that I am too old for him and that I am, essentially, a pervert. He rants about how Rob is 8 years younger than I am and that that is just nasty. My husband is 7 years older than me. I was 17 when he met me. Hypocritical a bit?

3- I have realized my power as a role model to my children. My daughter sings songs about her boyfriend, Jacob. Howling that he is beautiful and that she loves him. When I asked her why Jacob is her boyfriend she told me that it is because Edward is already my boyfriend and she didn't want to steal him from me. She is 4. My 2 year old calls Nickelodeon's Diego, Edward, and can spot Edward and Bella everywhere. As for my 7 year old, I broke my salt shaker and he said "Don't worry, I will buy you a new one, A Twilight one." They are obviously either fans as well, or they are brainwashed.

Below is my 1st post ever. I have not edited it, in fact I read through it very quickly because I am notoriously hard on myself. I almost always hate what I write. I feel like apologizing for making you read this crap. Yesterday's post was trash. I wasted that great photo of Kellen on it, but the 2 year old was screaming at me and I was in a hurry. OK, so I will totally admit that I have a problem. An obsession. I, like millions of other woman, am obsessed with Twilight. I can honestly say that The Twilight Saga changed my life. Maybe not changed it, but perked it up. A lot!!

I am a stay at home mom of 3 crazies, I mean kids. Books are my escape. They keep me sane, if I even can be considered sane anymore. I will readily admit that I had to have my arm twisted severely by my sister-in-law before I would read Twilight. I even bought the book and it sat in my bathroom for a month(I read in the bathtub). I had spoken to her earlier in the day and she begged me to read the book and when I say beg, I really mean beg and plead. She even promised to get a Facebook page. (Which she has not done yet) So, I started the book and was so engrossed I sat in the bathtub for 3 hours. Yes, it was cold, my toes were wrinkly and my butt was numb. I was in love!!!!! I can honestly say I have never loved a book more! I am very well read and have read too many books to even count. I didn't sleep that night. I think I kept sighing. I felt like I was in the throes of a new love. When morning came I rushed the kids through breakfast, threw the Big One on the bus without even a goodbye kiss and took the little ones to Target in jammies. That was at 8:42 a.m. I originally was just going to buy New Moon, but I scooped up Eclipse and Breaking Dawn because I had this feeling that if I didn't I would be back later that day. I was home by 9:05.

I will now admit that I was a terrible mother to my kids for a week. It only took me 2 days to read all 4 books, but then I had to reread them. I am a very fast reader and If I really like something, I read it again. The house was a disaster. The kids were fed crap. I wouldn't even talk to them. It was bad. I didn't eat. I lost 10 pounds. You should have seen the pile of laundry. It was scary. I think I went and bought the Big One new socks because I did not have time to wash and match them. Pathetic, I know, but I had a new lease on life.

At this point I had not seen the movie. I am not a fan of movies made from books. For example, Memoirs of a Geisha, I loved the book. The movie sucked. I can go on and on, but I won't. I am sure you know how I feel. I went ahead and rented the movie going into it with low expectations. I loved it. I kept it for 5 days. I watched it numerous times and I fell in love again. Well, I hadn't really fallen out of love, but I had new things to love(i.e. Robert Pattinson), but let's not go there yet. I created a reason to head to my trusty Target, diapers or something mundane like that. Somehow the Twilight movie, soundtrack and a random magazine with a picture of Rob and Kristen on it landed in the cart. My husband just rolled his eyes. I had made him watch the movie and he liked it, but he had no clue that Twilight had taken over my life the way it had.

This all happened the last week of March. I have seen the movie at least 3-4 times a week since then and read all 4 books 7 times. I almost can't talk about anything else. I have turned 4 people onto the books and have created my own little Twilight pyramid scheme. They are now creating their branches. It is fabulous! (post edit- Of course now I have read the books probably 15 times or more and seen Twilight over 100 times and New Moon in the theatre 6 times.)

I am now turning my obsession toward the release of New Moon. I watched the Mtv Movie Awards, which I haven't done in forever. I was so excited I made a fool of myself. I have watched the trailer so many times it's way pathetic. 168 days to go. I have started my movie fund now. RZ, don't expect my help the week of November 20th. I have plans.

The proverbial question in the fandom is- " Are they dating?" Well, are they? Can't someone please just tell me.

I actually don't really care. As soon as they confirm they are together then the tabloids will begin the "when are they going to break-up?" bullshit. How awkward would it be to have to film on Isle Esme if you have had a bad break up? I say very.

I wish that I could resist buying every damn magazine with the faces of the Twilight stars on the cover. I spent $3.99 on an OK magazine that had about 25 words in it from Kristen Stewart about Joan Jett. Really? 25 words! plllllllllltttt!(that is me sticking out my tongue at them. Even though they already got my 4 bucks! Damnit!

I know that I am late, but REAL LIFE and my self imposed hiatus from obsessing over Twilight have put this blog on the back burner. It sucks because this is my baby and I miss it. I have so much to comment on so some posts may be a couple days behind the rest of the world. As always, I need to spout my opinions and if I even mention the name Rob to my husband he about throws up.
I will mention though that he, and a coworker actually googled my blog. She is a Twilight fan and he told her about it and my obsession. Even in his disdain, which I detected in his telling of his search, I could detect a bit of pride for me. If said coworker reads this, Don't listen to my husband. He likes Twilight too, only he is a closet fan, who just says he hates it to be cool.

Now here goes: * warning bells * This is not about Twilight, but since David Slade is being so chintzy in releasing Eclipse information, (Thank you? Damnit?) I have to get my Rob fix somehow. I am trying to figure out how to convince my 3 SIL'S that we have to go see this movie for girls night. Oh yeah-That won't take much of my convincing abilities.

I used to watch The View religiously before Meredith Viera left. The whole Rosie O'Donnell debacle left me with a sour taste in my mouth and I got out of the habit of watching it. Now I hear that Robert Pattinson and Emilie de Ravin will be on the show March 2 to talk about their movie. Poor Emilie, does she think any of those ladies will have much to say about her. I need a bit of help from my readers, more specifically my Team Jacob readers. I am, as you all probably know, irreversably Team Edward. While reading the books, in the coccoon I had created, it never occured to me to root for Jacob. It wasn't until this summer and the New Moon hype that I realized that there were people out there that loved Jacob as much as I love Edward.

I really want to know what draws you to Jacob. You know how the story ends and who Bella ends up with, so why Jacob?

I can't understand the fascination with him. Sure Taylor Lautner is a little hottie, but it just doesn't work for me. And you know what??? I have found not one Fan Fiction where Jacob and Bella are together.

So, here's what I want... A Jacob fan to tell me their reasons behind their love of the Wolf. Please!!!

Eclipse

I can't wait for summer!! One, because I am freezing my behind off, and two, because Eclipse will be here!!!

I had taken serious thought to maintaining a distance from all of the Eclipse stuff. Twi-purity and all with Cutie from Super Secret Twilight blog and many others out there, but I am a spoiler bunny. I can't help myself. There are 173 days to go until Eclipse comes to theatres and I am chomping at the bit for any tiny piece of information.
A giant spoiler in the form of the Eclipse script landed in my lap. Should I read it? Should I wait?
I tossed this around for about 20 seconds and devoured the script.

All I will say is this-- I love you Melissa Rosenberg!! I love you Stephenie Meyer!!! I love you Robert Pattinson!!!(thought I would just throw that out there)

People's Choice and the Eclipse fail

I was so hoping to wake up to news of an Eclipse trailer shown at last nights People's Choice Awards. Nope. Our favorite stars and New Moon did receive awards, but no trailer. I find it hard to get excited since Rob was not there.

Twilight Tattoos

I got my first tattoo to celebrate the release of New Moon. Now that Eclipse will be here soon I am wondering if I should get another Twilight inspired tattoo. Serious Fiction Addiction

Ok- so I have thought recently of jumping on the fan fiction bandwagon and writing my own story. I am a writer, not an aspiring writer. A writer. I love to write and stories fill my brain so full I often can't wrap my brain around real-life. My stack of laundry can attest to that.

I have begun writing a story, but am having a hard time bending the characters to my will. Edward and Bella are not my creations and at this time are just not cooperating. I am determined to keep writing and see if my own version of them and my story are a worthy offering to the fans out there.

In the mean time I have begun a new blog, Serious Fiction Addiction. This blog will not just be about Twilight. I am constantly on the lookout for something great to read, be it a book, magazine, fan fiction, cereal box, I need it all. My newest blog will highlight my literary choices and recommendations. I would love your recommendations and opinions as well. Come on over and check me out.

P.S.- I am not abandoning my baby here. I still have a fortunate Twilight Obsession and with less than 200 days to go before Eclipse, I am charging my batteries and getting ready for the gates of Twilight to reopen and for Rob to emerge again. Hopefully looking as delicious as always.

Many of you may have the same affliction as I do-- A serious addiction to Twilight Fan Fiction. It all started with Wide Awake by angstgoddess003. It is a lovely, emotion filled story that seriously needs to be edited and published. For months Angstgoddess's fans have been anxiously awaiting the epilogue of Wide Awake. It is finally here and all I can say is: WOW!!!

I highly recommend that you read this work of fiction. Just don't ask her to write a sequel.

200th post- Can you believe it!!!

So... I have been holding off on posting for a while because this is my 200th post!!!! I wanted it to be good. Profound, even. I wanted it to be so fucking fantastic that it would be remembered.

I just have nothing. I am living in Twilight void. I started to watch the movie, but was interrupted by 3 crazy hyenas who wanted to go outside and play in the 24 inches of snow we got dumped on us. The books have been retired until at least after New Year's, but I am actually aiming for longer. I want to pick them up read them and get butterflies again. I could go see New Moon again, but RZ gives me so much hell that I need to wait a week or so. I was aiming for 10 times so I have 5 more to go.

I did come across an interesting article about Rob. You know, I can spot his name in the most obscure places. I had to laugh because who told the author about this. The girl- who should be ashamed of herself, the mom- who should slap the crap out of her daughter, The bodyguards- who really should keep their mouths shut, or Rob, himself- who should get a flu shot immediately and the go buy a taser.

A teenage Twi-hard kissed Robert Pattinson full on the lips before letting him know she had been getting over swine flu, and the actor was sure to know he was none-to-pleased about it. She apparently just happened to spot him standing on the side of the road when she jumped out of the car and threw herself at him. Pattinson might have been a little more acceptable of the kiss if the fan hadn’t said to him that her mother didn’t want her to get out and meet her idol because she was just getting over the swine flu! The revelation sent Pattinson into a bit of a tizzy! He then shoved the girl away and ran off, while yelling over his shoulder at her.

Per News.com.au:
“You have the Swine Flu?… What the hell are you doing kissing anyone?” Rob then told his bodyguards, “You guys have got to keep these crazies away from me!”

Pattinson next went to a drugstore and bought a bottle of Listerine, according to various reports. Surely the excitement of spotting Pattinson randomly on the street over whelmed her good judgment but you can’t blame him for being peeved! You have to give him credit for not smacking the girl all the way back to her mothers car!

A debate with MrsMe

I saw New Moon, again, last night for the 5th time. I freaking love the crap out of that movie! It is almost impossible for me to find a part that I do not like. Sure, Alice's vision is corny and if I was the director I would have done it differently. I also would have had a different actor for the motorcycle guy. That guy is not cute and I would have liked a few tats and maybe a lip ring or two. But if you look at the movie as a whole I am truly blown away.

MrsMe, who has only seen it three times, has some issues with both movies. I highly respect her opinions because she makes points that I consider too valid to ignore. I am able to see beyond said points and not let it affect my love of both movies. I am a simple girl who loves a good romance regardless of the delivery.

I could make a list a mile long with the complaints she has with Twilight, but I will not go there. What I would like to address is the fighting scenes. The first fight, with James, looked great on the screen, but showed Edward getting a bit beat up. The fight is actually not even mentioned in Twilight. Edward mentions pulling James off of Bella and then Emmett and Jasper taking over.

In New Moon, Edward gets his ass kicked by Felix. That, too, is not mentioned in any way in the book.

MrsMe's observation was that Edward can read minds and be a fraction of a second faster in a fight due to that. She feels that he should not have gotten so hurt by Felix. Like Emmett, Felix relies on strength rather than speed. Edward is the fastest of the Cullen's and as such should have had a huge advantage over Felix. While fighting Victoria, Edward continued to engage her as she tried to fall back. In that fight his advantages were obvious. His victory was never in question.

Last night, after leaving the movies, I thought a lot about this. Maybe that is silly, but I wondered if Stephenie Meyer wanted Edward to seem unbeatable. She writes Edward in such a way that leads you to believe that he is the perfect man, strong, fast, smart, and a romantic figure. I decided to go back to my books and do a bit of research, not to prove MrsMe wrong, but to give her a good argument, which I know she appreciates. This is what I came up with;

New Moon: Chapter 18, page 397--

Edward had closed on Jasper now, and the fight was more even than either of the others. Jasper had the century of experience to guide him, and he tried to go on instict alone as much as he could, but his thoughts always gave him away a fraction of a second before he acted. Edward was slightly faster, but the moves Jasper used were unfamiliar to him. They came at each other again and again, neither one able to gain the advantage, instinctive snarls erupting constantly. It was hard to watch, but harder to look away. They moved too fast for me to really understand what they were doing. Now and then the sharp eyes of the wolves would catch my attention. I had the feeling the wolves were getting more out of this that I was-- maybe more than they should.
Eventually, Carlisle cleared his throat.
Jasper laughed and took a step back. Edward straightened up and grinned at him.
"Back to work," Jasper consented. "We'll call it a draw."

So, here is my conclusion:

Edward may be very fast and have the added advantages of telepathy, but the unfamiliarity of his opponents would make the fight more even. I do agree that he should have made a better showing with Felix, but I also think the stress of the moment would have been another disadvantage to him.

My son's life with a Twilight obsession!!

I have an adorable 2 year old son, Baby AD, who, I think, likes Twilight as much as I do. When I wear my t-shirts, he lovingly pats my chest and says "Edward. Bella.". He can spot pictures of Edward anywhere and he points them out excitedly like a normal 2 year old points out a balloon. He has actually sat next to me and watched the entire Twilight movie without being too annoying more than once. I am kind of afraid that I have brainwashed him.

Here is why I think this:

Go Diego Go shoes.

I showed them to my sweet boy and he excitedly yelled-"EDWARD SHOES!!"

p.s.-Just so you know, AD can say Diego perfectly. He just really likes Edward.

My fan fiction recommendation!

In these dark days of the Twilight void I have been forced to turn to fan fiction. Ahhh... I have come across some incredibly talented writers who have me in awe of their talent. There are so many different stories from tattoos to mental illness to sweet reunions. Right now I am in love with a couple of stories, but I am going to recommend Your True Colors by NotWhatYouThink. It is a story of a women in her early forties who loves Twilight. Her obsession leads her to her Edward. There are 9 chapters so far and it is updated often. Check it out here!

I guess I am taking a break away from obsessing over Twilight. I need my batteries recharged. I have read the books non-stop for 6 months. I spent the months of October and November meticulously planning for the New Moon premiere. I may have burned myself out. While we are in this void of Twilight Saga news I am going to keep posting. I just hope that you too will recharge your Twilight batteries and be ready to come back full force for Eclipse.

I am in love with New Moon and would kiss Chris Weitz's feet were I to meet him. David Spade-- Please don't let us down!

As we sat there in the darkened theatre waiting to see our love torn apart by my bad decisions, I look over at Bella, her chocolate brown eyes moist with the sad rememberance of our time apart. Her intoxicating scent tempting me more than ever. I lean over and touch her face. Her skin is so soft. Her lips so full and enticing. I kiss her and tell her I am ready. Here!! Now!! There is a saying about opinions that I am sure you have all heard-- Opinions are like assholes. Everyone has one and they all stink.
I have been privy to a lot of opinions on New Moon. I am mature enough to not be upset if someone hated it. I have respect for opinions, but I have a hard time with people who haven't read the book and think I am ridiculous for loving both movies.
I agree that Twilight was not as good as it could have been. New Moon was fantastic and way exceeded my expectations. I often wonder if I would have loved them as much without having read the books, but those who judge a whole "culture" on the movies alone irritate me.
I try to live my life by speaking up only when I know what I am talking about. I don't push my opinions on those around me, most of the time. I also choose to support and RESPECT others passions.
This may seem harsh but if you haven't taken the time to read the books- fuck off! Your opinions mean nothing to me and your disdain for our love of Twilight is crap.

Find something you love and quit judging me and my fellow Twilight fans.

I am devastated. All of my dreams of RZ and I basking in the love of Twilight together have been dashed. *tears rolling down my pitiful face*

He hated the movie!! Whaaaaaaa! In fact he fell asleep. Or maybe he was just messing with me and faking it. He went so far as to say that the first movie was better!! Whaaaaaa! *more tears- and snot*

Why does this bother me so much? I can tell you- If he had loved the movie then maybe he would have laid off of my obsession. That's not going to happen, but I would have liked him to join in. Really was it too much to ask?

Maybe he is just messing with my mind and loves it but is too perverse to admit it. Maybe he loves it.

Maybe I will make him go again.

Maybe I am deluding myself.

The movie was fantastic and totally lived up to my expectations!! Wheeew! I was so nervous. I have decided that I will switch my lust for Rob to Chris Weitz! (ok so maybe not that far) He did an amazing job!!

I started out my night with my 3 sisters-in-law. I will say that I am a lucky girl and that my brothers have great taste in women. I love them all and wouldn't have chosen anyone else with which to experience New Moon. They are awesome!!!!!

We had dinner at Chili's. It was good food and fun. I was probably annoying them because I wanted to be at the theatre and they weren't eating fast enough.

The back of my shirt altered so my tattoo would show off. I got lots of comments!!

There was 17 ladies total. Some left before we could take the picture!

My previous post ranting about the whole Twilight playing before hand turned out to be the best case scenario for us. The Twilight gods were shining down on me when I decided to stop by the theatre early in the day. We got the scoop that we could enter the theatre at 6:00. This beat our plans to stand outside in line until midnight!! The above picture is of some of us sitting in the empty theatre! Empty!! Did you hear that? We were alone for almost 2 hours. We did cartwheels- ok, B2 did cartwheels. I tried to break my shoulder. We drank Bellinis smuggled in our water bottles. We laughed and disturbingly showed our ages by reciting our stories of giving birth!! MrsMe and I had a short quote-off which she sucked ass at. She couldn't stop giggling and no one else would take me on. We read my stash of Rob porn, I mean, New Moon related literature.

Before boredom could set in and we ended up snoring through Twilight, Edward and Bella assuaged our voyeuristic needs by not being able to keep their hands off each other.

So here goes the spoilers!!

The wolves were AWESOME!! Jacob's chest is breathtaking!!! Edward's chest is breathtaking!!!I didn't cry when Edward broke up with Bella, but loved Bella walking through the woods looking for him. I almost threw up with the spiraling camera work when Bella was on the ground.

Ok- Maybe I should slow down...*taking a deep breath*

Best Breakout performance goes to -- Charlie!! I loved his one liners!

Best lines- Jasper and Alice! "I will be back when you put the dog out" was great!! I almost wet my pants!!!

Part I wish was explained better- Harry Clearwater. If you hadn't read the book would you have known who he was?

Best scenes- I have 3 favorites. The Volturi fight scene, Paul and Jacob's fight, and when Jacob, Edward and Bella meet in the woods. I had thought that Edward thanking Jacob would be cheesy, but the sincerity in Edward's voice made it a beautiful scene.

Worst scene- The vision of Edward and Bella running through the woods with Bella as a vampire. That was cheesy. Did they have to be wearing those clothes?? I also disliked Jacob freaking out on Mike. I understand it, but again would someone who hadn't read the book understand?

Opinion on the ending- I loved it!!! If only he hadn't said her name. Then I could have spent the next 220 days imagining Edward saying it to me. *big sigh*

Part that was in the book that I missed in the movie- I really missed the emotion written when Edward was in Bella's room after coming home from Italy, even though it was covered in the movie at Volterra. I also missed her getting the cd from Edward for her birthday.

I am thrilled with the movie. In fact I have seen it twice and am going again tonight. Tonight, I take RZ, maybe I can get him to write a post from a guy's POV. Wouldn't that be great?!

I want to again thank all the girls that went to the movies!! It was a blast and I can't wait until June!! Shall we do it again???

If you are waiting for me to say something fun and let you know about our shenanagins last night...It's coming. I had 1 1/2 hours of sleep last night and was at the theatre at 9:00am for a 2nd viewing. Get Ready!!! It's coming!! Lots of pictures and evidence of our devotion!!

Today's the day and I don't need DRAMA

So I have to vent!!! I have been looking forward to the midnight viewing of New Moon for months, as you probably have. Our plans have been set for at least a month. Today, only because I had time to kill, I drove by my theatre to see if there was anyone already in line for the movie. There was not. I went up to the counter to ask if lines would be formed outside. It's raining. I found out that 6 theatres were totally sold out!! Amazing! I also saw that Twilight was playing. I knew about this previously, but had decided against seeing the movie so we could be assured great seats by waiting in line. Out of curiosity I asked the lady, if I had purchased tickets for Twilight could I have stayed in my seat for New Moon. She said only if I had tickets for Theatre 10. Crap!! I have tickets to theatre 10.

You would think this is a good thing, but I did not buy Twilight tickets and now all the people who did are going to get to stay in their seats!!!!!!! I was pissed. I went ahead and bought the tickets for Twilight and have spent the last 2 hours on the phone trying to rearrange all of our plans!!!

The manager of the theatre, where my secret weapon against annoying people, MrsMe, went and bitched him out was basically unsympathetic to our plight of wanting to save seats. He actually thought she was a freak!!! Our buying tickets 2 1/2 months ago didn't help us a bit.

We will be arriving enmasse in our Team Edward shirts!! I just hope we don't get kicked out!!
